CCTV Installation at 100 Residential Areas to Complete Next Week

Jakarta Provincial Government starts the realization of CCTV installation at residential areas.
This is part of Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung's quick wins in order to reduce crime rate in residential. The installation of 100 CCTVs use Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme.
Acting Jakarta Communication, Informatics and Statistics Agency's Head of Electronic System Device and Network Management Unit, Aditia Prana Kusuma said the 100 CCTVs installation is an example project for residential areas. It is according to Jakarta Governor Decree No 33/2024 about Improving the Quality of Settlement.

"The CCTV surely needs electricity and internet. So we will adjust it with the existing JakWIFI facilities," he added.
Aditia explained CCTV installation is still running and targeted to active lately next month.
According to him, Jakarta Provincial Government through sub-agencies have conducted survey to the locations.
Related to CCTV recording access if there is crime case, he appealed the residents to report to police first.
"It is aimed to protect the private data," he continued.
He said that this program will be run in five administration areas. Then CCTV installation for Seribu Island will start in strategic areas such as ports.
"We'll install it in Seribu Island in stages," he said.
Hopefully the CCTV installation will improve the security and harmony of residents at RT and RW levels.
